According to data provided by Instacart, a San Francisco-based grocery distribution founding company, Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, has now surpassed E-Commerce giant Amazon to become the favorite online grocery store for Americans.
According to Tencent Technology, Wal-Mart’s progress in online consumption has been so much due to its rapidly expanding roadside free pick-up service, which currently covers about 2,000 stores.
In addition, Wal-Mart said at a recent investor conference that the company plans to expand the coverage of the service to 3,000 stores by the end of 2019.
